Suriname is geen verdragsland voor de zorg: je Nederlandse basisverzekering stopt bij uitschrijving, en voor ernstige gevallen wijkt Suriname uit naar het buitenland — die dekking komt uit je eigen internationale polis.
Stel de acceptatievraag bij een internationale verzekeraar vóór elke onomkeerbare stap, dek het gat tussen je Nederlandse einddatum en je eerste verzekerde dag met een overbrugging, en neem een voorraad chronische medicatie mee — de beschikbaarheid ter plaatse wisselt.
